Session description

Discover how to incorporate project-based learning in grades K-2 using choice, voice, and creativity. We will focus on creating independence that will allow students individual success in an engaging atmosphere. Many think tiny techies can't successfully navigate and create through choices but they can!

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this session is to show teachers in K-2 classrooms that you can do a lot more with your students than you realize. Students can learn to be independent on their computers as well as use their computers to research and work on project based learning tasks that result in a final product to share with the world.

Objectives:
I will be able to help my students become independent computer users after setting up consistent routines and procedures.

I will be able to take a preset curriculum/standards and create a project based learning task.

I will be able to give my students activities that allow for choice in the activity.

I will be able to give my students activities that allow them to use their voice on a topic.
