Session description

Blockchain technology is one of the latest emerging technologies to transform the world. Learn what blockchain technology is, the pros and cons, and how it can be incorporated into 9-12 education. Leave with initial steps to start your own path to introducing the topic to students.

Purpose & objective

Participants will take on the challenge of understanding the general idea and landscape blockchain technology as an industry and take on the challenge of how it can be introduced into various existing courses such as Art, Business, and Computer Science classes. They will walk away with a better understanding of career opportunities, computing languages used, and initial steps and resources to begin their journey.
