Stephanie has been working in Pickerington Schools since 2014. Stephanie has spoken at conferences such as ISTE, ITIP and OETC and her most recent achievements are being apart of the team named ISTE’s Distinguished District, WOSU Leadership Award, a Google Innovator, and PLSD’s Innovative Leader award. Stephanie is one of the founding members of Global GEG and Gold EDU. Stephanie has a masters in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership.Stephanie is the CEO of Gold EDU, Control the Chaos EDU, and is also the EdTech Lead for the Pickerington Local Schools District. Stephanie has spoken at conferences around the world. Tara Ruckman co-authored the best seller Control the Chaos: Creating Order in the classroom and Teaching Executive Functioning Skills. Co-owner of Control the Chaos Edu. Certified Crisis Prevention Intervention Instructor, Youth, Teen, and Trauma Informed Yoga Educator, a Resident Educator Program Coordinator and an Academic Behavior Coach for fourteen schools in the Pickerington Local School District in Ohio.

Session description

Get hacks you can use to help control the chaos in your classroom. We'll cover ways to help your students with executive functioning, social-emotional learning and making your classroom run effectively.

Purpose & objective

The bad news is that some of our classrooms are currently filled with various degrees of chaos. The good news is you can control the chaos by adapting your approach, empowering your students, and implementing strategies and resources to help YOU make positive changes in your classroom. We will provide hacks and we will discuss strategies and resources to support the needs of a diverse classroom. Behavior Ed Tech taking shape so attendees can have resources to take away to implement in the classroom.
