Session description

Come and learn how to teach students the basics of Sketchnoting, how to create a structure that can be used for the process, and practice creating and sharing various types of Sketchnotes. Bring an iPad or any tablet with drawing capabilities. Don't forget your stylus.

Purpose & objective

Sketchnoting is a recent name given to the method of taking notes involving simple text and images and it involves the use of the left and right sides of our brains, along with the hands. This means that we are more present in the moment, paying more attention to the things in front of us, synthesizing the collected information and then representing it on paper using text and sketches.

We will look at a simple way of drawing using basic shapes and easy ways to emphasize text to make our notes much more interesting, readable and memorable. They'll get tips on how to organize content in sketchnotes and how to make notes more presentable using bullet points, boxes, icons, and arrows.
