Session description

In this highly interactive and dynamic session, we will take attendees through a design process focused on effective technology usage. Our activities will support a focus on creativity, curation, voice, collaboration, and assessment. We will look at sustainable ways to use technology to support higher-order thinking and learning.

Purpose & objective

Purpose: To support educators in designing a well-constructed learning environment that goes beyond just traditional teaching practices and just the tools, but integrates them together while also being mindful of crucial elements like inclusion, representation, and differentiation.

Objectives: Participants will identify aspects of modern lesson design including creativity, curation, voice, collaboration, and assessment. Participants will consider how technology can amplify those elements of modern lesson design. Participants will see examples of inclusive, diverse, and differentiated learning environments that mesh together with lesson design and effective technology use.
