Jody Britten is a thought leader in digital learning. Acting as an activist for purposeful, quality learning experiences for all children Jody currently serves as the Director Learning Technologies for Team4Tech, working to ignite impact for global nonprofit organizations inspiring quality learning experiences for under-resourced communities. She has supported national and international private, public, and K12 organizations. Her work has supported large scale change that has lead to better learning experiences for children. She began her career as a public school educator, and grounds her work in practical yet strategic efforts to transform systems of learning.

​Lindsay Kincaid is an educator with deep experience driving change in high school classrooms, higher education courses, adult learning spaces, and nonprofit organizations. Her passion is designing equitable learning environments and advancing youth agency, teacher capacity, and social justice. Lindsay believes technology is a tool that can foster unprecedented creativity and collaboration within education. She loves building inclusive, engaged communities across geographies and generations. Currently, Lindsay is the Chief Program Officer at Team4Tech, a nonprofit impact accelerator, and is an adjunct faculty member of the Johns Hopkins University Graduate School of Education.

JP Pullos (he/him/his) is the Director of Programs at 100cameras, a nonprofit organization that works with youth around the world, teaching them to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community. JP lives in New York City!

Session description

Smile for the camera and use your voice! In this interactive session, we'll share how nonprofit organizations serving under-resourced communities are empowering learners to master critical metacognitive strategies and digital photography through programs of 100cameras.

Purpose & objective

The objective for this presentation is to share how nonprofit organizations in under-resourced communities are engaging their students in programs that support their ability to reflect, create, and share with authentic audiences materials that communicate lived experience and support global awareness. During this presentation we will share the Team4Tech model, highlighting our work with education focused nonprofit organizations using edtech as a lever for change. In addition we will share the programs of 100cameras and highlight how those programs build capacity for nonprofit organizations and schools working to empower students and provide agency in using their voice to affect local change.

Team4TEch is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing educational opportunities in under-resourced communities. Team4Tech helps nonprofit organizations improve programming by providing technological solutions and pro bono consulting provided by skilled volunteers. Each collaboration is carefully co-designed with nonprofit partners like 100cameras and like minded corporate partners like Cisco, Adobe, Zendesk, and more.

100cameras is a nonprofit organization that works with youth around the world and we teach them to process and tell their stories through photography in a way that impacts how they view themselves and their role in their community. Through their programs, youth are empowering their voice and the important role in their great communities.
