Purpose & objective

By the end of this session, participants will be able to do basic navigation and builds within the Minecraft Education worlds and identify ways that Minecraft Education and CS concepts can be brought into their classrooms and learning environments. Participants will take a shared text and respond to a prompt as a design challenge in the Minecraft application, utilizing
special educational tools. There will be an opportunity to browse some of the existing lessons offered by Minecraft Education and start the planning process of how to bring this back to the educator's site. Facilitators will walk participants through their professional learning plan to expand computer science district-wide with game-based learning as one entry point.
