Session description

Students love trading cards — they can also be used in the classroom! Create trading cards based on a novel or historical era to help gamify learning; these cards can also be used as prompts for classroom activities. Use AI-created artwork and Photoshop to create a set of your own.

Purpose & objective

In this session, educators will learn:
* How to use gamification (in the form of trading cards) in the classroom
* Information about AI-created art, including tips on how to create good prompts and develop their ideas
* Basic Photoshop skills, including adapting a template

Attendees will leave with at least one completed card ready for printing.

Outline

The participants will have the opportunity to work with the presenter to create a group-made AI art. Prompts for the AI art will be gathered from the audience, including the direction that they wish to go in. On conclusion of the group-created work, participants will have the opportunity to create their own created art.

Participants will be rewarded for their suggestions with examples of AI-Art Trading Cards. This will then serve as a prompt and demonstration of how the cards can be used in the classroom.
