Zac Chase is the Digital Equity Impact Fellow in the Office of Educational Technology at the U.S. Department of Education. His primary role in OET is to lead the development of the 2024 National Educational Technology Plan. He also represents the office in their work with educator preparation programs and digital health, safety, and citizenship. He has worked at the classroom, school, and state levels in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Colorado and previously served as a White House ConnectED Fellow in OET during the Obama administration.

Session description

The Office of Educational Technology at the US Department of Education will share updates on digital equity and opportunity and provide attendees a chance to contribute to the newest National Ed Tech Plan.

Purpose & objective

The Office of Educational Technology will share their current digital equity work and seek feedback on the new National Ed Tech Plan (NETP).
- Participants will be able to describe the office priorities and relevant work.
- Participants will be able to describe the three essential questions guiding the NETP.
- Participants will be able to provide feedback and input on the NETP.
