Session description

I will share my experiences of using and researching artificial intelligence (AI) in education. Learn about how some AI-enhanced apps personalize learning, advance learning analytics, create resources, suggest new assessment methods and assist special needs (i.e., autistic learners, stuttering patients, etc.). As a former classroom teacher, edtech startup CEO, edtech product manager and researcher (Ph.D. student) of generative AI in an educational context, I boast a diverse breadth of experiences with edtech. Understanding various ways AI technology can transform education experiences will allow educators the creativity and bandwidth to apply it to their own practice. I will introduce four AI apps for teachers, four AI apps for students and two AI-related research studies.

Additional Information

Some awards I have received with my projects presented here include:
(1) CES Innovation Award, Software & Mobile Apps 2022 Honoree (2022) Red Dot Award;
(2) Product Design Winner (2021);
(3) XR Challenge (LG U+), Second Place Winner (2020);
(4) Verizon 5G EdTech Challenge, Winner (2019);
(5) Adobe Design Achievement Awards, Semifinalist for Social Impact - Web / App / Game Design (2018); and
(6) Microsoft Imagine Cup, US National Finalist (2018).
