1. Introduction and Overview:
Introduce the Digital Learning Environment (DLE) and its connection to the ISTE Standards for Educators and state standards.
Provide an overview of the three core components: Discover, Create, and Connect.

Engagement:
Conduct a live poll to assess participants' familiarity with DLE and their current use of technology in the classroom.

Time: 5 minutes

Discover, Create, Connect:
Explore how educators can improve their practice and student engagement through ongoing professional growth using a Learning Management System (LMS) to share content.
Showcase how an LMS allows for collaboration between teachers and students while tracking progress and providing feedback.

Engagement:
Demonstrate how to set professional learning goals and use a Learning Management System to connect with students and colleagues.
Participants will explore a sample Schoology course module that highlights tools for engagement.

Introduce digital tools for designing personalized, learner-driven activities that align with the "Create" component of the DLE.
Showcase digital tools for creating engaging and visually appealing instructional materials that foster student creativity.

Engagement:
Participants will walk through the steps of creating a quick activity using Lumio that accommodates different student learning styles.
Demonstration of how to use Canva for Education to design visually engaging student assignments or presentations.

Discuss the role of our Digital Learning Environment in fostering collaboration among students, enabling them to connect, collaborate, and reflect on their learning in real-time.

Engagement:
Participants explore a discussion board within the demo course, simulating a classroom discussion on digital citizenship.

Reflection and Q&A:
Recap the DLE's core components: Discover, Create, and Connect, and how participants can apply them using digital tools
Reflect on practical strategies for implementing these tools in participants’ classrooms.
