Understanding who we serve, how we serve them, and the outcomes that confirm we are serving them well are whole child essentials that require honest self-reflection, courageous self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and empathy. A powerful motivator for belonging, teacher agency, student engagement, impactful gains, and educational efficacy, the innovative whole child/whole educator transformative change approach dignifies the humanity of all members of the learning community. Considering that whole child has become a buzzword in educational spaces, this session reaffirms the whole child components of Healthy, Safe, Supported, Engaged, and Challenged as the DNA that inspires and sustains educator and student success.
