Session description

The question isn't whether to use AI -- it's whether it's making teaching stronger. This session explores how Kami keeps teachers in the driver's seat: surfacing student thinking in real time, supporting diverse learners, and creating authentic evidence of learning that holds up in an AI-saturated classroom environment.

Outline

-Brief 3–5 minute overview of how Kami supports authentic learning and teacher decision-making in AI-rich classrooms.
-Ongoing demonstrations of student work examples, real-time feedback, and AI-enhanced features within Kami
- Attendees will engage in discussion, ask questions, and share experiences from their own classrooms.
-Peer-to-peer conversations and individualized coaching will occur throughout the session as participants rotate through the poster space.

Outcomes

After this session, participants will be able to identify strategies for using AI-enhanced tools within the Kami environment to surface student thinking, analyze authentic evidence of learning to inform instruction, and design inclusive learning experiences that support diverse learners while keeping teachers at the center of the learning process.
