High-quality virtual and hybrid learning models drive student engagement, create new opportunities, and accelerate learning. Unlock insights from The Learning Accelerator’s Exponential Learning Initiative and Bismarck Public Schools’ Empower[Ed] program to discover how to implement dynamic hybrid learning, captivate students through their interests, and strategically scale programming.

Outline

0-3 Minutes: Welcome & Overview
-Introduction: Briefly introduce the session goals and the presenters.
-Objectives: Outline what participants will achieve by the end of the session.
3-15 Minutes: Key Findings from ELI
-Presentation/Discussion: Provide a brief overview of the Exponential Learning Initiative and its key findings on how virtual and hybrid models can accelerate learning.
-Real-World Examples: Highlight five distinct program models that foster effective learning acceleration.
15-30 Minutes: Introduction to Bismarck Public Schools Empower[Ed] Model
-Presentation/Discussion: The Empower[Ed] team will discuss their model, including how it was conceptualized, piloted, and scaled. They’ll share practical resources that they used to develop their model.
30-45 Minutes: The Student Experience
-Hands-On Activity: Participants will use Empower[Ed] resources to experience their model firsthand. This activity is designed to make the learning experience real for participants.
45-55 Minutes: Debrief
-Discussion: Participants and presenters will debrief the activity and respond to questions that surfaced throughout the session.
55-60 Minutes: Closing
-Wrap-Up: Summarize the key takeaways from the session and encourage participants to reflect on how any practices shared could be applicable to their contexts.
-Call to Action: Encourage participants to share their next steps and share final resources to support planning for innovative learning models.
