Program Highlights

There's so much to do, see and enjoy at ISTELive 23, but we just had to draw your attention to two new program highlights – the ISTEverse and the all new ISTELive Discovery Museum!

Check out these unique interactive experiences, and be sure to add them to your schedule.

The ISTEverse, a Portal Into the Future of Learning

Visit the ISTEverse to experience the future of learning. You’ll discover immersive learning spaces that leverage augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to create dynamic, interactive learning adventures and experiences.

VRcade

The VRcade is an immersive arcade featuring experiential learning with VR resources connected to core subjects and skill development. You’ll be equipped with a VR headset that will provide a 360-degree view of a virtual environment, giving you a realistic immersive experience.

VR Wellness

In the VR Wellness space, learn more about mindfulness in VR and how it can potentially help students, or simply take a mindfulness break during a full day of conference content.

ISTEverse Arena

The arena will incorporate gamification elements into the VR experience, making the learning even more engaging and interactive. Put on a headset and join other educators in challenges as you progress through the experience and earn rewards!

Connections Theatre

Head to the Connections Theatre to hear from educators and developers who will share innovative practices using AR and VR technologies. Among the speakers will be educators who developed a VR experience on bee pollination for fourth grade students, and a National Science Foundation grant awardee who used laser imaging, detection and ranging (LiDAR) for math and science learning.

ARcade

Check out the ARcade for hands-on experimentation with AR resources and examples of educational uses for this technology. You’ll have the chance to experiment with handheld mobile devices as you explore educational content in a dynamic, interactive way. You’ll also experience how AR can be used to enhance classroom instruction and help learners visualize and understand complex concepts.

ISTELive Discovery Museum

Experience the creative spirit of the ISTE community at the ISTELive Discovery Museum! New to ISTELive, the museum is a multi-venue space where you can create and view works of art representing learning experiences that have transformed teaching and learning.

The Discovery Gallery

The Discovery Gallery is home to visual art pieces that express creativity and communicate learning – all created by the ISTE community! From traditional fine arts and collaborative projects, to digitally designed works, videos, augmented and virtual reality creations, stop by to reflect, rejuvenate and get inspired!

Stories of Creation

Inside the Discovery Gallery, check out the Discover Stories room where you’ll find stories of creation and learning, told by the artists and creators represented in the gallery. Each creator will share a short video with the story behind their creative piece.

Creative Constructor Studio

The Creative Constructor Studio is the place to tap into your creative flow! The studio will feature creative activities hosted by local artists, museums and creators from the ISTE community. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the conference for some hands-on creative time and a chance to relax and connect with other attendees.
