Emily is a Technology Integrator and Trainer for Northeast Metro Intermediate School District 916, a former middle school German Teacher, and a Google Certified Trainer & Coach and ISTE Certified Educator. Throughout her time at 916, she has worked with staff and students to grow their instructional technology skills and meets everyone where they are at. Emily has presented at a variety of local, regional, national, and international conferences, both in-person and virtually. She uses her professional experiences, passion for technology, and drive to innovate student learning to inform and plan her training sessions, including one-on-one, group, and online.

Session description

The Google Tools of Forms, Sheets and Data Studio can take data from unmanageable to informative. This session will help you save time when collecting data, creating lesson plans, filling out IEPs, tracking goals and time, visualizing data and even creating a searchable database for resources.

Purpose & objective

Purpose: The purpose of this session is to show attendees the ease of using Google Forms to collect and use data. It is also to show the different things they can do with Google Forms to help with individual students' IEPs, Evaluationss, and working with classroom stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. Additionally how Google Data Studio can be used to create dashboards and searchable databases so the data can be used to make informed decisions.

Objectives:
1. The participant will be able to make Google Form templates to share with others in the district.
2. The participant will be able to create lesson plans, IEP and/or Evaluation collection tools, and other data collection tools using Google Forms.
3. The participant will be able to use Google Sheets and the add-on Autocrat to work with the data more easily.
4. The participant will be able to create a searchable database in Data Studio
5. The participant will be able to create data visualizations in Data Studio
6. The participant will be able to share their creations with their district.

Evidence of Success:
-Editing of the Google Form the presenter will share with participants
-Evaluation of session
-Participant participation
-Participants will be able to use Google Forms to collect data applicable to their role and district
-Participants will be able to use Google Data Studio to report and share data applicable to their role and district

Outline

During the presentation, the presenter will use live demonstrations, participant activities, peer-to-peer interactions, and a few bad jokes to keep the presentation engaging.

Introduction to presenter, session goals, and success tips - 3 min
Google Forms for Lesson Planning, SpEd Forms, IEPs, and Evaluations, and Data Collection - 8 min
Google Sheets useful formulas - 2 min
Autocrat process - 10 min
Data Studio Database - 10 min
Participant creation time - 25min
-Presenter will circulate the room talking with participants and assisting in creating Google Forms, Sheets, Autocrat Processes, and Data Studio Reports.
Final wrap-up - 2min

**If selected for a 90 min Creation Lab or another session type, the bulk of the difference will be in the amount of time for participant creation.
