Session description

Educators are always looking for new ways for students to show their understanding of content. This session will showcase Apple iPad's native apps and how teachers can create inspiring content and students can use them to show what they know in new innovative ways.

Purpose & objective

In today's classrooms, teachers are constantly looking for ways for their students to become digital creators and to give them choice when showing what they know. There are many iPad apps that can be used to spark creativity in teachers and students to keep students engaged in learning. This session will show how Apple native apps and other free apps can be used by teachers to create inspiring content and by students to show understanding of content. Examples of resources for learning how to use these apps and products that correlate to state standards will be shared.

Attendees will leave with the knowledge to be able to create their own products using the Apple iPad native apps to be used in the classroom.

Outline

Content and activities: We will show ideas and examples of how teachers and students can use the Apple native apps in the classroom. Examples of resources for learning how to use these apps and products that correlate to state standards will be shared.

Time: My chosen presentation method is a poster session. If this method of presenting is chosen I will spend 4-5 minutes showing our ideas and give participants a QR code to a OneNote Notebook with resources. I will also have video playing on repeat to showcase samples of products created with the iPad native apps.
