Educators will learn how to implement stop motion animation to support other subjects in general education and suggested adaptations for a self-contained classroom.
Both presenters have successfully implemented stop-motion units in their classrooms and also supported students to utilize stop-motion animation as a creative and a documentation tool.
Introduction - 2 mins - who we are and what we do
Use - 8 mins
- how to introduce and use stop motion
- suggestions for using stop-motion as an assessment tool in other subjects
Applications - 5 mins - explore some free and low cost stop motion animations
Projects - 5 mins - see some completed projects and how they support other learning
Adaptions - 10 mins - visual supports, and simplification of instructions for the self-contained classroom
Practice - 15mins - attendees will use their own devices to complete a challenge which will allow them learn how it can be used with their students
Presentations -10 some audience members will present heir projects
