Session description

Discover how The Mister Rogers Community Project connects our scholars with the local economy by working with local business owners to create social media and print media for their businesses. Through easily accessible programs and communication, the scholars got a hands-on learning experience by working and visiting local businesses.

Purpose & objective

The purpose and objectives are to link our scholars with the local economy and learn how everyone can connect with the community. Scholars were then tasked to share their knowledge of social media and branding to pair up with a business to create a product for the business to use.

Scholars used Google Products and Canva to create their presentations so that they could easily be shared both in person and remotely.

Evidence of success was witnessing our scholars visiting the local businesses and delivering their finished products.
