Session description

In this session, participants will learn about the Ulster BOCES Mentor and Teacher Academy programs designed to provide both a foundation and continued growth for excellence in teaching. Learn how we utilized both the Bulb Digital Portfolio and Zoom webinar platforms to have a gallery-style celebration of learning.

Purpose & objective

Purpurse: To share Ulster BOCES’ growth and learning experiences of using digital portfolios to curate and celebrate learning in our Teacher Academy program.

Objective: To present a model that others can modify and adopt for their setting.

Goals:
1. Participants will learn about the Ulster BOCES Mentor and Teacher Academy programs
2. Participants will view our celebration of learning artifacts using the bulb digital portfolio platform
3. Participants will be provided with suggestion on how to duplicate this process
4. Participants will log-on and begin creating their own Bulb to share with their colleagues

Outline

Following the strategies from Marcia L. Tates book "Sit and Get" Won't Grow Dendrites...participants will be active and have time to share. Music and movement will be included in this session.

1. Introduction and welcome activity (gallery walk of our portfolio) 10 mins
