Session description

To help all students find success, their needs must be considered. This session will provide a toolbox of solutions to provide support. Using the Universal Design for Learning framework, we will review strategies for how to leverage existing Google tools to provide scaffolding, accommodations, modifications, supports and progress tracking.

Purpose & objective

Purpose: The purpose of this session is to provide a toolbox of strategies for how to leverage existing Google tools in the inclusion classroom to support the diverse learning needs of all students.

Objectives: Participants will review the components of the Universal Design for Learning framework. Participants will discover strategies for providing multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement using Google tools. Participants will explore strategies for using available technologies to adapt instruction and assessment for all learners’ needs, including providing scaffolding, modifications, accommodations, and progress tracking.

Educational Challenge: One-size-fits-all is not accessible for all learners. Instruction needs to be designed with individual learner needs in mind. As we move toward inclusive models of education, this idea becomes increasingly important.
