Educational technology responsible
academia maddox
Being a computers engineer and holding a M.Ed. has allowed me to join my two passions, Education and technology. Along 23 years of practice I have had the chance to guide several groups of k-12 students helping them to make their dreams come true, because of that, the have won more than 20 national and international prices among which can be counted 3 times the world robotics championship in ROBOFEST for Mexico.
My motto has always been "how can I help", please, let me know that.
Hello, I am Constanza Cortés Méndez and I am 13 years old, I was born in Mexico City on August 7, 2009, I studied 3 years of preschool and 1 year of elementary school at the Justo Sierra school and for 2 years of elementary school up to 1 year of secondary school I studied at a school called Centro Escolar del Tepeyac (CET) and now I'm at Maddox Academy in secondary school. I like to play sports, especially basketball and right now I'm practicing swimming, I also like programming, I know how to play bass because I like music.
I am Ricardo Rojas and i have been devoted to my studies since little in Academia Maddox. Trying to be better every day. Having a balance live between sports and studies to keep me healthy. Now a day I am in 9th grade with one goal in mind. To study an engineering in TEC, and be recognized by other people.
Session description
Augmented reality (AR) is a creative resource for education that offers students and educators a way to experience stimuli to provide learning that has with great significance. Learn about our project that allows teachers and students to design learning situations where they can interact in real time with holographic projections.
Purpose & objective
Our project will show how students and teachers can design and build a holographic projector. Our innovation consists on casting live video to the holographic projector using a teleconference program like zoom . The projector will be designed by 7-9th grade students to be used by students all ages, blueprints and specifications of the projector can be found online, nevertheless, that projector can only show images and/or videos previously stored, We have also came up with a way to make the projector show not only previously made images and/or videos but live casts by connecting two computers using zoom and projecting the live conference through an hdmi splitter to 4 different monitors that will form the hologram.

Outline
Presenters will begin talking about the optics behind our holographic projector (40 sec), then, they will show a small version of it working in an iPad (20 seg), they will explain then how they came up with the idea of making it show live casts (1 min), they will give the audience scientific background that supports the use of AR in education (1 min) and finally, they will talk about some projects that teachers could design and build to use our interactive holographic projector (2 min) having a live interactive chat with a historical character.
