Session description

First through sixth grade Jellick Jaguar elementary students will share a plethora of edtech experiences across many platforms and apps. Students will explain their thought processes and work examples so you can return to school with great ideas to try in your classroom.

Purpose & objective

The overall purpose of this presentation is to have our students share their love for everything edTech with participants. Students will share examples of their work, their creativity, their thinking process, and their own ideas for teachers. Teacher presenter will share their examples and templates with participants to take home and try with their own classes. Programs and apps included for examples will be Seesaw, AdobeSpark Video, PicCollage for primary students, and apps within the Google Suite and WeVideo in the upper grades.

Participants will be able to experience student-perspectives and activities from across multiple platforms and apps; they will receive templates and shared examples from a teacher’s perspective; and leave inspired to try many edTech activities with their students back home.

Outline

Each student presenter will engage attendees by approaching them very carefully and ask if they can share his/her EdTech adventures using his/her device. Attendees may also approach a student to see some of his/her work. The teacher presenter will make sure each student is safe and secure. She will be ready to answer any questions and/or provide resources. Students will probably spend about 5-7 minutes conversing with the adult attendees about their EdTech creations. Then students can interact with another attendee after finishing with one.
