Nicky Acevedo is a former teacher turned Curriculum Product Manager for Vivacity Tech PBC. She was an English teacher at Bristol Township School District in Levittown, Pa and Chicago Public Schools in Chicago, IL for 13 years and a Senior Professional Development Specialist at Bluum for 4 years before joining the Marketing Team at Vivacity Tech. Her greatest passions include creating content and supporting schools with their technology implementation. Nicky has been in the TechEd Industry for 4+ years.

Session description

Interested in saving your district money on repairs? Want to give your students a platform for hands-on learning while doing so? This session outlines steps to take to design a curriculum to implement a student tech team.

Purpose & objective

Attendees will be presented with an interactive powerpoint and demonstration of the curriculum and its benefits, as follows:
Rapidly deploy additional district technicians
Allows students to explore technology
Provides hands-on learning
Builds transferable skills and real life experiences
Prepares students for the workforce
Allows students to assist tech staff in maintaining their feet of Chromebooks
