The participant will learn about Google Extensions and how they can use them to met students' needs in the classroom.
During this presentation the content will be based on what Google Extensions a educator can use in the classroom. On the table each extension is linked to a Google Doc that describes the extensions, a link to the extensions, and any YouTube videos that could help with that extension. Extensions will be demonstrated and participant will have the opportunity to explore them during the presentation. The whole session will be about extensions and the whole time will be devoted to extensions. The process to which I use is to talk about the extension, demonstrate its use, and then give participants time to explore.
I currently don't have much research on this topic. Organizations like TCEA do publish monthly newsletters sharing extensions for the classroom (https://blog.tcea.org/eight-extensions-sites-june-2022/). One book that I read early on was written by Chris Craft Top 50 Chrome Extensions (https://www.amazon.com/Top-50-Chrome-Extensions-Classroom/dp/1945167556). This book is great because it describes extensions but also shares a success story of how the extension was used in the classroom. Part of the reason I created this table was so educators would have a tool where everything was in one place.
