Session description

Hear about a project that involved students, parents and teachers, all working to create a superstructure that's capable of transporting balls through a circuit. Students used simple machines, programming and a lot of imagination!

Purpose & objective

Inspired by this video https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxUBLcn7KPuSfWiWqcNtVxcgrBusNUiuf8 we decided to challenge our students to build our own version, we call it superstructure, it is designed to be as big as possible and that year after year parents, students and teachers get together once a year to make it better and better

With the use of the LEGO EV3 and LEGO Simple Machines sets we start creating this challenge to inaugurate of first LEGO WEEK.

With the 5E model (learning through play) we managed to get students to learn about mechanisms and simple machines with an objective.

This video is a demonstration of the kind of structures that will be in our challenge. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JfKzozGjSK-6K1H8NQ9XSHR1OgMZMqS4/view?usp=sharing
