Tara is the Founder of TLSpecialists LLC, an organization created to provide edtech and SEL-infused training for schools in this new world of hybrid and remote learning environments, with a focus on equitable experiences, delivered by diverse trainers. She is an award-winning educator who has helped several schools across the world with launching and sustaining effective 1:1 programs over the course of the last decade. In 2018, Tara authored and published the book, Code Equity: Keying Girls into Coding, as a guide for educators looking to make a more equitable learning environment for their students.
Session description
Data is all around us; the big question is, "How are we using data in education?" Throughout this Playground experience, you'll see how educators from around the world are using data to inform instruction. You'll even see some ways that students are being
empowered to take control of their own data.

Purpose & objective
The purpose of this Playground is to show educators how data is being used to inform instruction and empower learners around the world.
30 minute sessions led by diverse speakers, rotated throughout the duration of the Playground. All presentations give attendees an opportunity to engage with the data.
