Barbara Hubert, Ph.D., is the Senior Director of Learning Design at BrainPOP, where she leads the learning design of BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr. Dr. Hubert began her career as an elementary school special education teacher, working for over ten years in public and charter schools in New York City. She established the vision and direction for creating equitable instructional access as a curriculum and instruction manager at New Visions for Public Schools. Her research focuses on traversing the space between discourses of learner difference and equitable and inclusive research-based instructional practice.

Session description

This poster session showcases how BrainPOP Jr. effectively integrates ISTE student standards, enhancing teaching and learning experiences. Gain insights on the importance of aligning technology tools with ISTE standards and explore how BrainPOP Jr. supports instructional practices, benefiting both educators and students.

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this poster session is to highlight the value of obtaining the ISTE Seal of Alignment for student standards and to demonstrate how BrainPOP Jr. effectively integrates these standards in its platform to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Attendees will gain insight into the educational significance of aligning technology tools with ISTE standards and learn how BrainPOP Jr. can support their instructional practices.
