Jaime Donally is a passionate technology enthusiast. She began her career as a math teacher and later moved into instructional technology. Her desire to build relationships has created opportunities to collaborate with students and educators around the world. She provides staff development and training on immersive technology as an edtech consultant, and her latest adventures include Global Maker Day and #ARVRinEDU events. She’s also an author and speaker on the practical use of augmented reality and virtual reality in the classroom.

Session description

Use the latest immersive technology to create 3D content in this highly interactive experience. Learn, scan, build and share your 3D creations using foundational skills that will prepare our classrooms for the future. All skill levels are welcome to participate.

Purpose & objective

As we move towards the future of the metaverse, the necessity of creating 3D content is increasingly clear. 3D content will be the foundation of digital environments, and without 3D content, the metaverse would be little more than a 2D representation of the real world. As we continue to explore the potential of the metaverse, it is clear that creating 3D content creators is an essential skill for our students to build a rich and engaging virtual world.
