Mrs. Ford has been a classroom instructor for over 20 years. Carol Ann holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently responsible for directing online learning, coordinating the Learning Commons Warehouse, and providing Gifted and Talented services at Howe Public Schools in Howe, OK.

Dr Lance Ford is a Zoom Room Room advocate and a teacher at Howe Public Schools in Howe, OK. He has been a speaker for state and national conferences and has had the opportunity to work with over 10,000 teachers world-wide live via interactive video. Lance's passion is not the technology, but rather how the technology can serve as a transparent conduit for teaching and learning. He calls it "teachnology". Working in a small rural community, teachnology becomes the conduit to opportunity for students and faculty members alike.

Allyson Mitchell

Before joining CILC as the Director of Partnerships and Engagement, Mitchell held a variety of leadership positions within departments of learning in art, history, and university museums. In these roles, she supervised the design of multiple Distance Learning studios as well as the development of the supporting virtual programming and training of affiliated staff. Allyson has presented in a series of national and international conferences to discuss the implications of integrating distance learning in museums. She actively published scholarship on this topic; most recently acting as co-author and contributing artist of the book 'Museums & Interactive Virtual Learning.'

As I teach, I find that I’m constantly learning. There are so many emerging and amazing opportunities in our world that I’d love to relay to my students, but I just don’t feel qualified. In order to broaden the horizons of the classroom experience beyond my skills, I turn to remote subject matter expertise. This real-world, application driven experience can open so many doors for the students. There’s quite a bit of content available but how you curate the opportunities and make the most of your time. Come explore how to find quality content that is curriculum based. We will explore the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration and hear from a teacher that leverages these opportunities on a regular basis. Bring your expertise and let’s collaborate.
