Session description
Drop by the Creators Fiesta Studio to design your very own "Bot" on the back of a domino, transforming it into a tiny, heartfelt work of art. Inspired by Portland artist Gary Hirsch, Bots are crafted to symbolize positive emotions like joy, courage, hope, and gratitude. We encourage you to gift your Bot to someone at the conference to spread kindness, joy, and inspiration! Learn how educators can use Bots to teach character education, with each creation serving as a powerful symbol of empathy and human connection. Make a Joy Bot, Brave Bot, Hope Bot, or dream up your own Bot—then pass it along to brighten someone’s day, one tiny robot at a time!
This is a drop-in workshop – join our ISTE+ASCD educators leading the workshop anytime between 12:30-2:30pm on Sunday to make your Bot. After Sunday, come back and make more Bots at the Creators Fiesta Bot making station that will be open all week, plus learn more about the joy of making Bots with students!
(*The Bot making station can be found in the Gallery of the Creators Fiesta and will open after Sunday's workshop)
