Purpose & objective

For many classrooms, distance learning was a "sit-and-get" experience for students. Educators presented on a document camera and demonstrated lessons while students sat passively and watched. This session will showcase engaging and interactive ways to allow students to be active learners.

Joelle Massari, Clark County School District

Joelle Massari is a National Board Certified Teacher with a Middle Childhood Generalist focus. Teaching for over 19 years, Mrs. Massari integrates technology throughout the curriculum. With experience in grades K-8 in both the public and private setting, she is presently teaching fourth grade for Clark County School District in Nevada. She has a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Joseph's University in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree from Wilkes University in Instructional Media. Joelle Massari cofounded the Undrcaff3inatED podcast, a podcast offering bite-sized chunks of professional development about topics that affect the classroom today.
