How do we create really effective blended learning experiences?
HyperDocs are the perfect blend of technology infused learning.
In this session, we will unpack through the use of student examples and powerful HyperDocs the 5 things educators must know about HyperDocs.
This session will include examples infused with Flipgrid, Canva, and Book Creator and pushed out using Google Classroom Assignments.
Teachers will leave with examples that will encourage and inspire.
5-7 Opening Activity: Explore HyperDocs Examples
10 minutes: Unpack the meaning of HyperDocs and Explore, Explain and Apply.
15 Student Examples to exemplify the 5 ideas educators must understand about HyperDocs
This session will be based around ideas of Making Student Thinking Visible by both Ron Richard and John Hattie. It will include a look at essential questions from Understanding By Design by Grant Wiggens and Jay McTighe. It will look at the constructs of cognitive learning theory found in Make it Stick by Peter Brown. All concepts part of the book called The HyperDoc Handbook from Lisa Highfill, Kelly Hilton and Sarah Landis and the blended learning - going from analog to digital from The Chromebook Infused Classroom.
Holly Clark is an education thought leader, international speaker, bestselling author and student advocate. She’s a veteran educator who has spent over 15 years teaching in a 1:1 classroom, and over five years as an administrator in public and private schools. She holds a master’s degree in instructional design and educational technology from Columbia University. Clark is passionate about helping teachers create classrooms where students want to learn and can become the agents of their own thinking and understanding. She’s is a National Board Certified Teacher, Google Certified Innovator and the chief learning officer for The Infused Classroom Inc. She still spends time co-teaching in classrooms where she helps teachers and schools begin the process of putting students at the center of the learning. Clark consults with schools globally on blended learning environments where meaningful pedagogy is infused with the strategic use of technology. She authors a popular education blog at hollyclark.org and gives keynotes to audiences worldwide. In 2017, Clark published her first book, The Google Infused Classroom. This year, she’ll release two new books, The Microsoft Infused Classroom and The Chromebook Infused Classroom.
