Paper is so commonly used for drawing and writing but most people do not know how to use it for three-dimensional projects. This workshop will get you cutting, folding and building with paper in minutes, and be ready to implement new hands-on activities with students immediately.

Purpose & objective

Access to supplies is often a barrier to learning yet amazing projects can be made with just paper,tape and scissors. Paper is an amazingly versatile material and a great medium for introducing students to engineering fundamentals. I have developed and easy to implement methodology for “engineering with paper” that gets students building and creating confidently.

Outline

Hands on activities using just paper tape and scissors. We will build a paper catapult.
