Session description

Sixth graders imagined a new way of teaching science, technology and values. The plant-gotchi is an intelligent pot that allows to measurement of the biotic and abiotic variables that determine whether a plant grows or dies, supported by a graphical interface similar to a Tamagotchi.

Purpose & objective

Purpose:
The students will: imagine, investigate, design and give a proposal to solve the generation gap of how science, technology and values subjects are taught in a non-traditional way, taking advantage of technological tools and reimagining and reinventing the way in which learning is approached. scientific thought.

Objectives:
Investigate and document the major scientific junctures involved with plant growth.
Analyze and evaluate the biological, technological and ethical impact of the use of technology in science teaching.
Design, build and program a smart planter
Interview with teachers of higher and lower years to find out the needs and adjustments that can be made in the project.
