Session description

Discover how to use Teams and AI to assign and evaluate students' reading fluency while tracking students' progress. This approach gives students instant feedback and practice that includes auditory pronunciations and visual representations of challenging words based on performance. This will save time and make data tracking easier.

Purpose & objective

The purpose of our presentation is to make reading fluency easy for teachers and students. Reading Fluency takes a great amount of the teachers' day if administered individually in person. It could also be embarrassing for the student who is reading. This technology will provide a resource in which teachers can assign differentiated reading passages to students to assess fluency and track their progress over time. While students are performing these tasks, teachers are free to work with other students. By the end of the presentation, teachers will be able to create and assign a reading fluency assignment to their students through the Microsoft Teams app called Reading Progress. They will also be able to look at their student data over time.
