Evo Hannan is the founder of Innovation X, a big thinking company that helps inspire a new way of thinking to move education forward. Before devoting his work to Innovation X, Evo served as a Head of Innovation at a number of schools in Dubai, and has been teaching Design for 2 decades. Evo has been featured in several publications in the Middle East and UK, and has gone onto speaking about his passion for innovation and change in education across the world, as well as a 2 times TedX speaker.

Stephanie is an Education Innovation Leader for a K-12 District in Northern California, Google Innovator, Trainer, & Coach, Pear Deck Coach, co-founder of GlobalGEG, creator of CanWeTalkEDU, and author of numerous articles published on Edutopia and her own blog. Her TedX Talk “My Year of Yes to Me” is on Ted.com. Stephanie speaks at educational conferences around the world and was CUE’s Teacher of the Year for 2021. She is a contributing author in George Couros' #BecauseOfATeacher and contributor in Lainie Rowell's #EvolvingWithGratitude. Session description

As the Education Innovation Leader for Santa Clara Unified School District, I was tasked with supporting our traditional STEAM Expo. Come learn how we shifted the tradition Expo into our Innovation Expo with scaffolded support for students and teachers, themes, business partnerships, and a culminating experience to launch more learning.

Purpose & objective

The Expo experience must evolve and it is up to all educational leaders to shift it. The purpose of this session is to provide educational leaders (Principals, Tech Leads, Teachers, Coaches) with our experience in helping to create this shift.

Objectives- Participants will:
-Learn about the Innovation Expo of Santa Clara Unified School District: Shifts, Journey, Student/Educator/Community Impact, Practice Shift
-Explore the creation of themes and application to real world business community
-Grow connection, collaboration, and thought partnership to support in the building of their own student learning opportunities
-Develop sustainable practices for growing innovation
