Session description

Imagine if Google or Spotify ran schools. These workplaces are known for their culture and fail-forward mindset. Spotify encourages staff to aim to make mistakes faster than anyone else. These companies aim for fail fast, learn fast and improve fast. How do we create a fail-friendly school?

Purpose & objective

Creating a school wide culture can seem like an impossible task however we must take this task on. How many teachers and students do you see on a daily basis that look defeated or feel like they cannot speak up? If you notice many educators or students with this deer in the headlights look, a silent collaboration environment, or unable to start a task because they are too overwhelmed then we have created a hostile environment. Our students need use to create an environment to create a psychological safe environment. Once we create this environment we will see innovation and empower take over the workplace.
Attendees will learn what it takes to create a psychological safe environment.
