Session description

Making a cheesecake is a long process that requires time and patience. Coaching and mentoring others require those same virtues. Learn how to implement relationship-building, trust and open communication with both tasks. Participants will also receive the recipe for my delicious homemade cheesecake!

Purpose & objective

Participants will learn new strategies to build and foster relationships with their teachers. We will take a look at different coaching models including the Dynamic Learning Project and see the similarities between them. We will also look at different templates that can be used to document interactions, goals, and challenges with those educators who are coached/mentored. These are in the form of Google Docs and Sheets in order to track progress. More importantly, we will take a look at the different questioning techniques used during typical coaching/impact cycles and use them in context with the group. We will have continuous check ins throughout the session to check our comfortability with these new strategies to check our personal success.
