Since we faithfully believe that dialogue is the most powerful tool that humans have, we decided to take it as an advantage to develop this project, at the same time that we faithfully believe that being global citizens gives us the opportunity to build a better society.
That's why we used technology to get closer to people who were far away from us. By using anchor, we created a podcast to connect with people around the world by learning about cultural diversity and the different things they had to offer us.
The children talked about traditions, customs, national holidays, and were able to exchange with people of their age through a really enriching dialogue that led them to reflect on the importance of respecting cultural diversity and working together to build a better world based on similarities and differences realizing that we are all individuals and that we all have a value.
After each activity, students reflected on their learning process answering questions from their teachers to record their classroom podcast. Our classroom Podcast was uploaded monthly to our blog together with articles written by our teachers to share our experience. The main purpose and objectives for this presentation are:
To share with the audience the ways we can connect with people around the world and unite to build a better world.
To share how Storytelling and Challenge Based Learning were implemented through technology to enhance reflection and metacognition developing critical thinking and autonomy in our students.
To share with the audience student and teacher creations and proposals that contribute to a better world.
To give our students an international platform to share their ideas.
Content and Activities:
Students and their teachers will share with the audience their experience, strategies, and learning process. The audience will participate by listening and asking questions to broaden the perspective of the project. Also, by sharing ideas that leverage our experience and learning.
Time - each participant will be able to stay as long as they want in the stand to, but, in general, they will take about 5-10 minutes listen to how the project developed, the challenges faced, and to share ideas.
