As an Educational Technology Specialist for IU 8, Brenda has spent many years learning and teaching ways of applying technology to problem solving. These skills are being applied to projects such as community outreach, STEM, marketing and publicity, grant management and college/career readiness.

Session description

Many of us have heard, "We need to make the positive so loud that the negative becomes almost impossible to hear," from George Couros. But we also shy away from the tools that will allow us to do this efficiently. This session will discuss the ways to share.

Purpose & objective

Participants will be able to identify one or two strategies to begin using in the upcoming school year to harness social media. We'll explore some tools such as Hootsuite and Facebook Meta Business.
