The Importance of Equity Audits in Schools: Uncovering Hidden Inequities 

Along with Kathleen Budge, Grant A. Chandler is the author Powerful Student Care: Honoring Each Learning as Distinctive & Irreplaceable (ASCD, 2023). Chandler brings over 35 years of practical experience as a high school teacher, building and central office administrator, higher education dean, professional learning director in an outreach department at a large research university, and as a technical support provider and executive coach. He is currently the president and chief executive officer of Students Matter.

Sara Monaco, Ed.D., has been the Assistant Superintendent of Smithfield Public Schools since 2017. She previously worked as the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment in Warwick, RI. Prior to administration, she served as a special educator and reading specialist. Her primary responsibilities include data analysis, professional development, strategic planning, curriculum implementation, and assessment development. She also serves as an adjunct professor at Providence College. Monaco earned her Doctor of Education in K-12 Curriculum Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Education in Literacy, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from Providence College.
