See how Newland High School students explore emotional intelligence by transmitting their knowledge to their younger classmates in the preschool section. They're required to create short story animation either with Powtoon or Scratch and develop a colored keyboard where students identify the emotion that is visually projected.

The purpose of this TBL is that our High School Students investigate and learn about Emotional Intelligence and find relevance to what they are currently living during this pandemic.
Participants will be able to observe how the investigation done by our High School students is adapted and presented to our younger children with the help of tools like the online software Powtoon, or with Scratch. Here our students creativity will have to be integrated as well as programming skills in order to create images and/or storylines that can be easily identified by all of our preschoolers, including special needs students.
Participants will also be able to observe a workable color coded prototype keyboard created by our High School students that has been programmed with an Arduino plate to light up with leds after a preschool child identifies the emotion presented. The interesting and challenging element of this part of the project is that it will also provide evidence on how well the student understands emotions. The success of the project will be observed when High School students provide statistics of how well our preschool students understand emotional intelligence.
