Proposal summary

Purpose & objective

The purpose of this session is to introduce participants to both examples of collaboration that we have been a part of as Ed Tech Coaches and strategies of how to grow relationships that lead to collaborative efforts with educators at all levels of the district. Participants will be able to identify potential collaborative situations, perhaps outside of the current purview, and will be able to approach individuals of these collaborative efforts.

We will share resources that will get participants thinking outside the box and into collaborating beyond the classroom.

Outline

5-10 minutes - Present ourselves and our three main points:
Fertilize (build relationships)
Water the flowers (coaching cycles and opportunities)
Fill your vase (document the results)
10 minutes - discussion, Q&A

Included will be a digital interactive piece (i.e., Jamboard or Padlet) where participants share their collaborative efforts so we can build a collection of ideas to add to our resources for participants.

Ms. Kuhn has 19 years’ of classroom experience, 8 of which were spent in 1:1 classrooms where technology integration played a large role in student learning. She regularly incorporated backward design when planning her own French and Info Tech lessons and now incorporates these same principles as an EdTech Coach to a district of over 300 educators, PK-12.
