Director of Distance Learning
Nicole Zumpano has over 25 years of experience as a classroom teacher and instructional technology coach. Currently, she serves as the director of instructional technology coaching for the Learning Technology Center of Illinois. She facilitates statewide instructional technology coach meetings where coaches come together to share best practices. A Google Certified Trainer and Coach, Nicole leads Google Certified Coach cohorts. A National Board Certified Teacher, she teaches graduate-level educational technology courses for three universities. She’s an active member of the ISTE community and serves as an ISTE Community Leader.
Session description
Follow the journey of a professional learning network that started as small, individual groups and flourished into an amazing statewide network of like-minded coaches. Hear how we work together to make each other better coaches who share ideas, resources and problem-solve to support all educators.
Purpose & objective
This presentation is to show districts anywhere how you can take your PLN to a greater growth reaching more of an audience. During the ED Talk it will be shared how the growth started and how it continued to grow and thrive. Participants will also see how with very little tools, such as a Google Doc, and a Zoom call a PLN can reach new heights.
