Session description

Let’s move beyond discussing student voice, equity, inclusion and empowerment to actually creating a culture using technology that honors each learner. Educators new to the ISTE Standards for Students will leave this session with practical ideas of how to make their technology usage purposeful and intentional.

Purpose & objective

After this session, educators will be able to access and understand the Student ISTE Standards. They will be able to implement a minimum of one activity per standard. They will acknowledge their role as facilitator and co-designer with their students. They will choose technology with purpose and intention with our recommendations to go deeper into a fewer amount of tools rather than multiple tools and superficial use. We believe this will change the culture of the classroom and school community.

This session will be interactive as well as a discussion where educators can ask questions and share their own knowledge.
