The structure will follow a "we do, you do" pattern with concepts and techniques introduced and participants given an opportunity to try them out and ask questions. An accessible "home base" document will provide access to all resources mentioned and include space for participants to ask additional questions for the presenters.
Practices shard during this session are drawn from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), the international standard for accessibility that is now included in many national accessibility laws, including Section 508 in the United States. The selection of the techniques has been informed by more than 15 years of experience teaching educators about inclusive design practices through both in-person presentations and the development of online courses and videos on the topic.
