Session description

Discover how students created and designed a way to apply knowledge tests through an interactive game based on the Alexa virtual assistant that manages the questions, using the LEGO EV3 kit as an electromechanical system to decide who will answer.

Purpose & objective

Our goal is to share the results of this project and show a fun way to apply exams, designed and built with Lego EV3 kit and linked with Alexa virtual assistant, with the intention to make the quizzes engaging and dynamic.

Outline

Welcome: a trigger question about the topic will be initially applied for them to answer by means of a survey. Duration: 10 min.

Presentation of the project: The project will be presented through infographics that will be presented at the stand, as well as an explanation of the operation of the interactive game based on the virtual assistant Alexa that will manage the questions, using the Lego EV3 kit as an electromechanical system to answer. Duration: 20 hours

Project objectives: The students will present the objectives of the project through a presentation in Canva. Duration: 10 min.
Demonstration of the project: Two participants from the audience will be invited to come in and will be given the two controls, at that moment the exam will start through Alexa and will say a question, the participants will have to press the button made with Lego EV3; the first one to press it will be the one who will have the opportunity to answer the question and get points. Duration: 30 min.

Space for questions: 10 min.

Conclusion: To conclude, the girls will mention that this type of game is very fun and functional for the different subjects to practice what they have learned and be able to verify that their learning was significant, or it could work to review the topics seen before a quiz. Duration 10 min.
