For the last 12 years, I have been a passionate science educator. I have devoted my studies and expertise to environmental and sustainability education, having worked from kindergarten to college teaching Environmental Ed, Biology, and Chemistry. I believe in encouraging students to be confident in themselves by helping them see the inner scientist in all of us. I think students have the power to come together to generate solutions for our everyday problems if they are given the opportunity. I will continue to work towards bringing STEM and entrepreneurial training to the classrooms and hopefully inspire more students, especially girls, to become tomorrow's leaders.

Session description

Learn about a lesson that let students travel the globe in their geography class. At each stop, they learn about a continent's characteristics and report on them digitally using essays, biography, podcasts, comics, videos and news articles. All this information is then made available on an interactive map built with Nearpod.

Purpose & objective
