Session description

Learning how to demonstrate and curate one's learning over a year requires digital skills, a built-in reflective process and the right tools! Attendees will come away with several possible standards-driven templates using Book Creator as the base with Drive, Canva and Flip as the supporting cast.

Purpose & objective

As we come out of a pandemic, it is essential to provide students with alternative means to grades and standardized testing to demonstrate learning and growth. Digital portfolios provide the means for students to showcase their growth and achievements in ways that a report card simply cannot . Additionally, as so many states are now requiring capstone or vision of the graduate portfolios, it is necessary to devise an instructional framework, template and action plan to create pathways to bild the necessary digital skills and knowledge from grade to grade to graduation to curate and reflect in a multimedia format which can be personalized and published.
